HUGHES NAMED TO MAC HONOR ROLL
ANNVILLE, PA --- Sophomore guard Kim Hughes (Manasquan, NJ/St. Rose HS) of the
Moravian College women's basketball team has been named to the Middle Atlantic Conference
Weekly Honor Roll for her performance last week.
Hughes, a guard, helped the Greyhounds post a 2-1 record last week with a pair
of Commonwealth Conference victories. She averaged 17.6 points per game with 12 rebounds,
nine assists and 11 three-pointers. Hughes opened the week with 12 points
in a 66-59 victory at Widener University. Hughes hit five three- pointers
and scored 20 points as she tried to help the Greyhounds rally from a 16-point deficit
in a 72-70 loss at Franklin & Marshall College. Hughes finished the week
with a team high 20 points in a 76-61 victory over Juniata College. For the week, Hughes shot
48.4 percent from the floor (16 of 33), 55 percent behind the three-point line (11 of 20)
and 76.9 percent at the free throw line (10 of 13).
Moravian is currently 11-6 on the season and in a three-way tie for first place in the
Commonwealth Conference with a 5-1 record.
