LEVERBERG NAMED ASSISTANT WOMEN'S TENNIS COACH
BETHLEHEM, PA --- Moravian College has named Lacey Leverberg, a 2002 graduate of
the school, part-time assistant women's tennis coach.
Leverberg, a native of East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, played three seasons for
the Greyhounds and helped the team win the Middle Atlantic Conference Championship the
last two years. Leverberg, who played one season at Lycoming College to start
her career, finished collegiate play with a career singles record of 49-7 including a 12-1
record at Lycoming. She had a doubles record of 29-11 at Moravian.
Leverberg, who will also be taking graduate courses at Moravian, will assist head
coach Dawn Benner, who is entering her 16th year at the helm of the Greyhounds. Since
1994, Benner has led Moravian to a 117-11 record, two undefeated seasons (16-0 in
both 1998 and 2001), six MAC Commonwealth titles and five MAC Championships.
The Greyhounds open defense of their MAC title on Thursday, September 5th at Lebanon Valley
College in a 4:30 p.m. match. |
