MORAVIAN DEFENSE RANKED NATIONALLY

INDIANAPOLIS, IN --- The Moravian College defense is ranked twice in the top 40 of the first releases of the NCAA Division III football statistics for the 2002 season.

The Greyhounds, who are 1-1 on the year, are 38th in the nation in total defense, allowing just 239 yards per game and the squad is tied for 39th in the country in rushing defense, only allowing 83.5 yards per contest on the ground.

Moravian has a scheduled week off this Saturday, the first scheduled bye week in the Greyhounds' season since the third week of the 1984 season.  Moravian will return to action on Saturday, September 28th when the Greyhounds will host Widener University in a Middle Atlantic Conference game beginning at 1:00 p.m.
