GREYHOUNDS RANKED IN NCAA VOLLEYBALL STATISTICS

INDIANAPOLIS, IN --- The Moravian College women's volleyball team is ranked in three categories and three Greyhounds are ranked individually in the first release of the 2002 NCAA Division III volleyball statistics.

The Greyhounds, who are currently 6-3 on the season, are seventh in the nation in hitting percentage at .329.  The squad is also 12th in kills per game with an average of 15.15 and the team is tied for 20th in assists per contest at 13.00.

Moravian junior outside hitter Kim Zipf (Wyomissing, PA/Wilson West Lawn HS) is tenth in the country in kills per game with an average of 4.72.  Junior setter Amy Lawrence (Gettysburg, PA/Delone Catholic HS) is tied for 14th in the nation in assists per game at 11.78 while freshman middle hitter Lindsey Siracusa (Yardley, PA/Pennsbury HS) is 23rd nationally in hitting percentage at .415.

The Greyhounds will return to action on Tuesday, September 17th in their 2002 Commonwealth Conference season opener at Widener University beginning at 7:00 p.m.
