DERINGER NAMED COMMONWEALTH PLAYER OF THE WEEK
ANNVILLE, PA --- Moravian College sophomore Becky Deringer (Allentown, PA/Dieruff
HS) has been named the Commonwealth Conference Women’s Tennis Player of
the Week for her performance last week.
Deringer, Moravian’s number singles player and a member of the
top doubles team, led the Greyhounds to a 2-0 record last week by winning singles and doubles
contests in the team’s 8-1 victories over Elizabethtown College and Messiah College
in Commonwealth Conference action.
Moravian is currently 6-0 this season and has won its last 29 matches. The Greyhounds
will return to action on Tuesday, September 24th in a non-conference match with DeSales
University beginning at 4:00 p.m. at Hoffman Courts in Bethlehem.
