BRIA NAMED COMMONWEALTH WOMEN’S SOCCER PLAYER OF THE WEEK
ANNVILLE, PA --- Moravian College junior defender Justina Bria (Warminster, PA/William
Tennent HS) has been named the Commonwealth Conference Women’s Soccer
Player of the Week for her performance last week.
Bria scored the winning goal in Moravian’s 2-1 victory over Lebanon
Valley College, which was ranked eighth in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America/adidas
Mid-Atlantic Regional poll last week, in Commonwealth Conference action as the Greyhounds
posted a 2-0 record for the week. Bria’s game-winner, her second
goal of the season, came in the 78th minute of the match, just 12 minutes after the Flying
Dutchmen had tied the contest. Bria was also a main factor in the Greyhounds’ 2-0
shutout of Delaware Valley College with her play at left back.
The Greyhounds return to action on Wednesday, October 9th in a non-conference home match
with Drew University beginning at 4:00 p.m.
