GREYHOUNDS RANKED THIRD IN MIDDLE ATLANTIC CONFERENCE PRESEASON POLL

ANNVILLE, PA --- The Moravian College golf team has been selected to finish third in the Middle Atlantic Conference in a preseason poll of the conference’s coaches.

The Greyhounds, under the direction of head coach John Makuvek, received 45 points in the poll. Susquehanna University was selected as the top team in the preseason, garnering eight first-place votes and 68 points. Moravian trailed Lebanon Valley College and was selected ahead of Elizabethtown College, Delaware Valley College, Widener University, Messiah College, Albright College, Wilkes University, King’s College, Lycoming College, DeSales University, FDU-Florham and the University of Scranton. Lycoming picked up the other first place vote in the poll.

Moravian, which finished third at the 2002 MAC Championships, will open the 2003 season on Friday, March 28th when the Greyhounds travel to the Golden Oaks Golf Course for a tri-match hosted by Albright that will also include Lebanon Valley.
