MORAVIAN NAMES STRINGER ASSISTANT MEN’S LACROSSE COACH
BETHLEHEM, PA --- Moravian College has named Gavin T. Stringer as assistant
men’s lacrosse coach and assistant to the director of intramurals.
Stringer, a 2002 graduate of the University of Maryland Baltimore County,
will be the offensive coordinator for Moravian’s men’s lacrosse program, which
begins its first season of intercollegiate competition in 2004. Moravian will be playing
a club schedule this spring and then become varsity and join the Middle Atlantic Conference
next season.
“I am really excited to have an outstanding young person like Gavin here to help
us launch the men’s lacrosse program at Moravian College,” stated head coach Fran
Meagher. “Our vision is to see the men’s lacrosse program quickly
measure up to the excellent tradition of the entire intercollegiate program here at Moravian.”
Stringer was a three-year letterwinner at UMBC and started his senior
season. Stringer is a native of Timonium, Maryland and graduated from
Dulaney High School, a perennial power in Maryland high school lacrosse.
