GOZZARD RESIGNS AS MORAVIAN’S FIELD HOCKEY & WOMEN’S LACROSSE COACH
BETHLEHEM, PA --- The Moravian College Department of Athletics and Recreation has announced
that Natalie Gozzard has resigned her position as head coach of the Greyhounds’ field
hockey and women’s lacrosse programs.
“We respect Natalie’s decision to pursue personal endeavors outside the realm
of coaching,” stated Moravian College Director of Athletics & Recreation Paul
R. Moyer. “She will be difficult to replace, and she did an outstanding
job helping Moravian begin its women’s lacrosse program from the start.”
In two seasons as Moravian’s field hockey mentor, Gozzard led
the Greyhounds to a 9-25 record with three victories in Commonwealth Conference matches,
something Moravian hadn’t done in almost three years prior to her arrival. Gozzard also
helped Moravian begin its first-ever NCAA women’s lacrosse program, which played
its inaugural season this past spring.
Moravian will begin a national search immediately to fill the vacant coaching positions.
