MORAVIAN NAMES FOUR ASSISTANT BASKETBALL COACHES
BETHLEHEM, PA --- The Moravian College athletic department has named four new assistant
basketball coaches for the 2002-03 season with Amy Endler joining the
women’s basketball staff and David Jordan, Mike Frew and Keith
Allison joining the men’s basketball staff.
Endler, a native of Roselle Park, New Jersey, returns to the Greyhounds
after ten years after graduating in 1993. Endler scored 1,524 points for
Moravian (fifth in school history) and she holds the school record with 222 career three-pointers.
During Endler’s playing career, Moravian made four NCAA Division
III Tournament appearances, hosted the NCAA Division III National Championship game in
1992 and won two Middle Atlantic Conference titles. Endler, who was the
Eastern College Athletic Conference Rookie of the Year in 1990, was the head girls' basketball
coach at Roselle Park High School from 1996 to 2002 and she was the head field hockey coach
at the school from 1994 until 2001.
Jordan, a native of Point Pleasant, New Jersey, is also returning to
his alma mater after a one-year absence. Jordan scored 1,059 points for
the Greyhounds (15th in school history) and he holds the school record with 150 career
three-pointers. Jordan had been working for Anaconda Sports since his
graduation.
Frew, a native of Glen Ridge, New Jersey, joins the staff after finishing
a four-year playing career for Moravian. Frew, who was a co-captain of
the squad as a senior, has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and he is working towards a
degree in education.
Allison, who is from Quakertown, Pennsylvania, was an assistant coach
at Quakertown High School for the last three seasons and coach of the freshman program. Allison is
working on a degree in chemistry at Moravian.
Frew and Allison will also coach Moravian’s junior
varsity program this season.
