McLEAN AND ZALESKI NAMED TO MAC HONOR ROLL
ANNVILLE, PA --- Senior Kelly McLean (Allentown, PA/Salisbury HS) and
sophomore Brandon Zaleski (Hackettstown, NJ/Hackettstown HS) of the Moravian
College basketball teams have been named to the Middle Atlantic Conference Weekly Honor
Roll for their performances last week.
McLean, a forward, helped the Greyhounds to a 2-0 record last week in
Commonwealth Conference action, including an upset win over #18 Lebanon Valley College. McLean netted
13 points and added seven rebounds in Moravian’s 88-58 victory over Albright College.
She added a career high 23 points, ten rebounds and two blocks in the Greyhounds’ 98-94
overtime win at Lebanon Valley. With 3:09 remaining in overtime of that game, McLean hit
a lay-up to become the 14th Moravian player and second this season to reach 1,000 career
points. Her final basket in overtime gave the Greyhounds a 96-90 lead and sealed the upset
victory. For the week, McLean was 14 of 22 from the floor (63.6 percent).
The Moravian women are 4-2 on the season and will not play again until a road contest at
Wilkes University on Saturday, January 4th.
Zaleski, a forward, led the Greyhounds to a 2-0 record in the Commonwealth
Conference last week. He scored a team high 19 points and grabbed nine rebounds in Moravian’s
66-59 victory over Albright College. Zaleski netted 22 points in the Greyhounds’ 85-81
victory at Lebanon Valley College. For the week, Zaleski shot 55.6 percent
from the floor (15 of 27) and he was a perfect 10-of-10 at the foul line while playing
34 minutes per game. Moravian is 5-1 overall this season and returns to action in a road
contest at Delaware Valley College on Tuesday, January 7th.
