MORAVIAN MEN’S BASKETBALL TEAM NAMED HONORABLE MENTION IN NCAA REGIONAL POLL
INDIANAPOLIS, IN --- The Moravian College men’s basketball team earned honorable
mention honors in the first NCAA Division III regular season regional rankings released
Wednesday.
Local rival DeSales University, one of the three teams to beat Moravian, is ranked first
in the Mid-Atlantic Region. Franklin & Marshall College, Mary Washington College, Catholic
University, Johns Hopkins University and Wilkes University follow the Bulldogs.
The Greyhounds, who are 8-3 on the year and 3-0 in the Commonwealth Conference, are one
of four teams to receive honorable mention after the six ranked teams. The other honorable
mention teams were Lycoming College, the University of Scranton and Ursinus College. Schools
receiving honorable mention status are listed in alphabetical order, not the order of votes
received.
Moravian will return to action on Thursday, January 16th in a non-conference contest
at Scranton beginning at 8:00 p.m.
