GREYHOUNDS RANKED IN MID-ATLANTIC REGION
INDIANAPOLIS, IN --- The Moravian College women’s basketball team has been ranked
seventh in the Mid-Atlantic Region in the first NCAA Division III Women’s Basketball
Regional Poll of the year released Wednesday.
The NCAA ranks eight teams in each region based on the schools record against in region
competition.
The Greyhounds, who are 13-4 overall, have a 10-3 record in the region. Ahead of Moravian
in the poll are the University of Scranton, DeSales University, King’s College, Messiah
College, Muhlenberg College and Swarthmore College. Lebanon Valley College, a team Moravian
defeated in overtime back in December, is ranked eighth in the region. Moravian has lost
games at DeSales and Messiah this season, and the Greyhounds still have contests to play
with Lebanon Valley, Muhlenberg and Messiah in the next 11 days.
Moravian will return to action on Saturday, February 1st in a Commonwealth Conference
game with Lebanon Valley at Johnston Hall with tip-off set for 2:00 p.m.
