GREYHOUNDS RANKED IN MID-ATLANTIC REGION
INDIANAPOLIS, IN --- The Moravian College women’s basketball team fell one spot
to eighth in the Mid-Atlantic Region in the second NCAA Division III Women’s Basketball
Regional Poll of the year released Wednesday.
The NCAA ranks eight teams in each region based on the schools record against in region
competition.
The Greyhounds, who are 14-5 overall, have an 11-4 record in the region. Ahead of Moravian
in the poll are King’s College, the University of Scranton, DeSales University, Messiah
College, Muhlenberg College, Lebanon Valley College and Swarthmore College. Moravian has
lost games at DeSales, Messiah and Lebanon Valley this season, and the Greyhounds have
defeated Muhlenberg and Lebanon Valley.
Moravian will return to action on Saturday, February 8th in a Commonwealth Conference
game with Messiah at Johnston Hall with tip-off set for 4:00 p.m.
