GREYHOUND VOLLEYBALL SQUAD RANKED 6TH IN MID-ATLANTIC REGION
INDIANAPOLIS, IN --- The Moravian College women’s volleyball team has dropped two
spots to sixth in the Mid-Atlantic Region in the second NCAA Division III Regional poll
of the year released Wednesday.
The Greyhounds, who are 20-8 overall, have an 18-6 in-region record, which the poll is
based on. Eastern University holds down the top spot in the region followed by Gettysburg
College, Lycoming College, Frostburg State University, Lebanon Valley College, Moravian,
Salisbury University and Catholic University.
The Greyhounds have dropped 3-1 contests to Lebanon Valley and Salisbury and 3-0 and
3-2 matches to Eastern. Moravian has defeated Frostburg State, 3-0 this fall.
Moravian will host Messiah College in a Commonwealth Conference match on Tuesday, October
28th at 7:00 p.m. in Johnston Hall. The Greyhounds must win that match to qualify for postseason
for the eighth straight year.
