SHANNON & FEIMSTER NAMED TO COMMONWEALTH ALL-CONFERENCE MEN’S
SOCCER TEAMS
ANNVILLE, PA --- Senior midfielder Tim Shannon (Leesport, PA/Schuylkill Valley
HS) of the Moravian College men’s soccer team has been named to the 2003
Commonwealth All-Conference First Team announced by the Middle Atlantic Corporation Tuesday
while junior midfielder Jim Feimster (Stroudsburg, PA/Pocono Mountain HS) garnered
a spot on the All-Conference Second Team.
The duo has helped the Greyhounds to a 3-2-2 slate in the Commonwealth Conference, and
the team’s fourth consecutive berth in the Commonwealth postseason tournament. Moravian
is the third seed and will travel to second seeded Elizabethtown College for a semifinal
match on Wednesday, November 5th at 7:00 p.m. The Greyhounds are 4-11-3 overall.
Shannon, who has been named to the All-Conference First Team for the
third consecutive year, has a goal and three assists for the Greyhounds this season. In
his career, Shannon, who has been on the National Soccer Coaches Association
of America/adidas All-Mid-Atlantic Region squads the last two years (second team in 2001
and third team in 2002), has scored 25 career goals (tenth in school history) and 13 assists
for 63 career points (tied for tenth in school history.
Feimster is making his first appearance on the All-Conference teams,
and he is second on the Greyhound squad in scoring this fall with ten points on two goals
and a team high six assists. Feimster has scored 27 points in his career
at Moravian with seven goals and 13 assists.
