MORAVIAN COLLEGE WOMEN’S LACROSSE TEAM AND SOPHOMORE JESS
CORDANI RANKED IN NCAA STATS
INDIANAPOLIS, IN --- Sophomore midfielder Jess Cordani (Point Pleasant, NJ/Point
Pleasant Boro HS) of the Moravian College women’s lacrosse team is ranked
among the nation’s leaders as are the Greyhounds as a team in the first NCAA Division
III statistics ranking of the season released Wednesday.
Cordani is second in the nation in caused turnovers with an average
of 6.0 per match, and she is 13th in draw controls with an average of 4.0 per contest.
Moravian, which has an overall record of 1-2 in its second season as an NCAA program,
is fourth in the nation in caused turnovers with an average of 17.33 caused turnovers each
match. The Greyhounds are also ranked 20th in the country in draw controls with an average
of 10.67 per contest.
Moravian is scheduled to return to action on Saturday, March 20th in the team’s
first home Middle Atlantic Conference match of the year, hosting Lycoming College at 1:00
p.m. on the HUB Quad.
