MORAVIAN’S RICHIE CLINE NAMED COMMONWEALTH CONFERENCE
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
ANNVILLE, PA --- Sophomore first baseman Richie Cline (Union Beach, NJ/Keyport
HS) of the Moravian College baseball team has been named the Commonwealth Conference
Player of the Week for his performance last week.
Cline led the Greyhounds to a 3-1 record last week including a three-game
Commonwealth Conference series sweep of Lebanon Valley College. Cline hit
.462 for the week with six hits in 13 at-bats, including four home runs, five runs scored
and seven RBIs. Cline added an intentional walk, a hit by pitch and he
was flawless in the field in 41 chances (40 putouts and one assist). Cline began
the week with a two-for-four performance in a 14-5 loss to Ursinus College, including a
solo home run. After being held hitless in the first game of the series versus the Flying
Dutchmen, Cline was two-for-four in the second game with a three-run home
run. Cline finished the series with a two-for-two performance with a two-run
homer and a solo dinger.
Moravian is 5-9 on the season and returns to action on Monday, March 29th in a non-conference
contest versus Alvernia College at 3:00 p.m.
