MORAVIAN’S WEINER NAMED COMMONWEALTH CONFERENCE PITCHER OF THE WEEK

ANNVILLE, PA --- Moravian College senior pitcher Donna Weiner (East Hanover, NJ/Hanover Park HS) has been named the Commonwealth Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week for her performance last week.

Weiner tossed a pair of complete game victories for the Greyhounds as Moravian posted a 4-0 record last week. Weiner defeated Albright College, 8-1, allowing an unearned run on five hits and three walks while striking out three batters. Weiner then tossed a four-hit, 4-2 victory at Juniata College. She allowed just three walks while striking out six batters in the victory.

The Greyhounds, who are 21-1 overall, 8-0 in the Commonwealth Conference and the number-one ranked team in the nation, return to action on Thursday, April 15th in a non-conference doubleheader at Delaware Valley College beginning at 3:00 p.m.
