CHAD DiFELICE EARNS ECAC SOUTHEAST
WEEKLY FOOTBALL HONORS
CAPE COD, MA --- Junior linebacker Chad
DiFelice (Pen Argyl, PA/Pen Argyl HS) of the Moravian College football team
has been named the Eastern College Athletic Conference Division III Southeast Defensive
Players of theWeek for his performance last Saturday in Moravian’s 35-27 victory
versus FDU-Florham.
DiFelice,
who was also the Middle Atlantic Conference Defensive Player of the Week, helped lead
the Greyhounds to their six straight win to open the 2004 season in a 35-27 victory versus
FDU-Florham. DiFelice opened the scoring in the second half when he
returned a fumble 40 yards for a touchdown. He finished the game with ten tackles (six
solo stops) with four tackles for loss, two fumble recoveries and a forced fumble.
The win lifted Moravian to
6-0 overall and 6-0 in the MAC for the first time since the 1940 season, tying the school
mark for single season winning streak at six games, done four other times. The Greyhounds
are scheduled to return to action on Saturday, October 23rd in an MAC game at Lycoming
College kicking off at 1:00 p.m. at David Person Field in Williamsport.
