MORAVIAN’S NEIL CANIGA & MIKE HELMUTH NAMED TO ALL-CONFERENCE
TEAMS
ANNVILLE, PA --- Junior Neil Caniga (Hampton, NJ/Voorhees HS) and senior Mike
Helmuth (Bethlehem, PA/Harrisonburg {VA} HS) of the Moravian College men’s
tennis team have been named to the All-Conference Teams announced Sunday on the second
day of the 2005 Middle Atlantic States Collegiate Athletic Conference Individual Championships
at Lehigh University.
Caniga, in his second season at Moravian, posted an 8-8 singles record
with a 7-7 record at first singles. Caniga, who earned a spot on the Commonwealth
All-Conference First Team for the second straight year, also had a 7-7 record in doubles
action with Helmuth with a 6-6 mark at first doubles. Helmuth posted
a 9-5 slate in singles action, and he was 9-4 at second singles for the Greyhounds.
Moravian completed its 2005 season with a 5-9 overall record and a 3-4 record in Commonwealth
Conference action.
