JUNIORS MEAGAN HENNESSY & RICHELLE McWILLIAMS & MORAVIAN SOFTBALL SQUAD RANKED IN FOURTH NCAA STATISTICS RELEASE OF 2005 SEASON

INDIANAPOLIS, IN --- The Moravian College softball team is ranked nationally in three statistical categories while junior pitcher Meagan Hennessy (Freehold, NJ/Freehold Township HS) is ranked in four categories and junior designated player Richelle McWilliams (Riegelsville, PA/Easton HS) is ranked once in the fourth NCAA Division III statistics ranking of the season released Tuesday.

Hennessy is fourth in victories with 24, 12th in earned run average at 0.53, tied for 13th in saves with three and 30th in strikeouts per seven innings with an average of 8.2.

McWilliams is tied for 30th in home runs with an average of 0.22 per game having hit eight homers in 36 games.

Moravian is fifth in earned run average at 0.74, 13th in the country in fielding percentage at .971and 15th in won-loss percentage at .838.

The Greyhounds, who are 31-6 overall and 13-1 in the Commonwealth Conference, will return to action of Friday, May 6th as the top seed in the 2005 Commonwealth Conference Tournament at Susquehanna University in Selinsgrove. Moravian will play fourth-seeded Albright College at 11:00 a.m. in the first game of the tournament.
