MORAVIAN’S BRIAN BERGSTOL NAMED TO GOLF COACHES ASSOCIATION OF AMERICA ALL-REGION TEAM

NORMAN, OK --- Moravian College sophomore Brian Bergstol (Mt. Bethel, PA/Bangor HS) has been named to the PING/Golf Coaches Association of America All-Mid-Atlantic Region Team for the second consecutive season.

Bergstol helped Moravian place second of seven schools at the 2005 Commonwealth Conference Championships. The Greyhounds, under the direction of head coach John Makuvek for the 37th season, won six tournaments throughout the season and placed in the top five in 13 of 16 tournaments.

At the Commonwealth Conference Championships, Bergstol finished in a tie for 12th place with a tournament score of 165 after a second round score of 82. Bergstol had a season average of 76.6 strokes per round with a low score of 70 at the Moravian Fall Invitational at Southmoore Golf Course. He made it to Moravian’s record books having the second lowest season stroke average.

Moravian will begin its 2005-06 season on Monday, September 19th at the Franklin & Marshall College Fall Invitational at the Bent Creek Country Club.
