MORAVIAN’S MEGAN COLLINS NAMED COMMONWEALTH CONFERENCE WOMEN’S
SOCCER PLAYER OF THE WEEK
ANNVILLE, PA --- Senior forward Megan Collins (Rehoboth Beach, DE/Caesar Rodney
HS) of the Moravian College women’s soccer team has been named the Commonwealth
Conference Women’s Soccer Player of the Week for her performance last week.
Collins scored both goals in Moravian’s 2-1 overtime victory versus
the University of Scranton last week including the game-winner just 34 seconds into overtime.
The victory gave the Greyhounds a 5-0 record to start the season, the best start in school
history. Moravian, which is ranked regionally, lost to regionally-ranked Wilkes University,
1-0, in the team’s other match last week.
The Greyhounds are slated to begin their 2005 Commonwealth Conference season on Tuesday,
September 20th in a home match with Albright College beginning at 4:00 p.m. on the HUB
Quad.
