MORAVIAN’S MEGAN COLLINS NAMED COMMONWEALTH CONFERENCE WOMEN’S
SOCCER PLAYER OF THE WEEK
ANNVILLE, PA --- Senior forward Megan Collins (Rehoboth Beach, DE/Caesar Rodney
HS) of the Moravian College women’s soccer team has been named the Commonwealth
Conference Women’s Soccer Player of the Week for her performance last week.
Collins, who was also honored as the Commonwealth Conference Player
of the Week last Monday, scored four goals and had two game winning goals in a 2-0 week
for the Greyhounds in Commonwealth Conference action. Collins tallied
a pair of goals including the game winner in a 4-0 shutout of Albright College. She added
two more with another game-winning goal in a 3-1 victory over Widener University. In both
matches, Collins got Moravian on the board in the tenth minute of the
contest. She took ten shots during the week.
Moravian, which is 7-1 overall and 2-0 in Commonwealth Conference action, is slated to
return to action on Wednesday, September 28th in a non-conference home match versus Ursinus
College beginning at 4:00 p.m. on the HUB Quad.
