MORAVIAN’S MEGAN COLLINS NAMED COMMONWEALTH CONFERENCE WOMEN’S
SOCCER PLAYER OF THE WEEK FOR THIRD STRAIGHT WEEK
ANNVILLE, PA --- Senior forward Megan Collins (Rehoboth Beach, DE/Caesar Rodney
HS) of the Moravian College women’s soccer team has been named the Commonwealth
Conference Women’s Soccer Player of the Week for her performance last week.
Collins, who has also honored as the Commonwealth Conference Player
of the Week the last two weeks, scored two goals and had an assist and game-winning goal
in a 2-0 week for the Greyhounds. Collins netted the only goal of a the
match in a 1-0 victory over Ursinus College to help Moravian close out its five-match home
stand with a 4-1 record. She then added an assist on the game-winning goal and a goal of
her own, Collins’ tenth of the season, in a 3-0 shutout of Juniata
College to keep the Greyhounds undefeated in Commonwealth Conference action.
Moravian, which is 9-1 overall and 3-0 in Commonwealth Conference action, is slated to
return to action on Wednesday, October 5th in a non-conference home match at regionally-ranked
Haverford College beginning at 4:00 p.m.
