SIX GREYHOUNDS & TEAM RANKED IN FIFTH NCAA FOOTBALL STATISTICS
RELEASE OF 2005 SEASON
INDIANAPOLIS, IN --- Six different players from the Moravian College football team are
ranked in five categories in the fifth NCAA III Division football statistical ranking released
Tuesday. The Greyhounds are also listed in two team categories in the statistics through
games of October 8th.
Junior tailback Chris Jacoubs (Fair Haven, NJ/Rumson-Fair Haven Regional HS) is
tied for 26th in the nation in rushing with an average of 130.2 yards per game, and Jacoubs
is tied for 38th in scoring at 9.6 points per game. Senior linebacker Chad DiFelice
(Pen Argyl, PA/Pen Argyl HS) is tied for 40th in tackles for loss with 1.8 per
game and 27th in forced fumbles at 0.4 per contest. Freshman linebacker Andrew
Morrissey (Emmaus, PA/Emmaus HS) is also tied for 27th in forced fumbles while
senior defensive back Tyler Chomik (Allentown, PA/Allentown Central Catholic HS) and
junior defensive back Israel Aguila (Bethlehem, PA/Freedom HS) are both
tied for 28th in passes defended with an average of 1.6 per game.
As a team, Moravian is 36th in the country in rushing offense with an average of 216.2
yards per game, and the Greyhounds are 42nd in kickoff returns at 22.12 yards per return.
The Greyhounds are 3-2 overall this season and in the Middle Atlantic Conference. Moravian
is scheduled to return to action at FDU-Florham in an MAC contest at Robert T. Shields
Field on Saturday, October 15th at 1:00 p.m.
