MORAVIAN WOMEN’S SOCCER RANKED 9TH IN FIRST NCAA REGIONAL
RANKINGS OF 2005

INDIANAPOLIS, IN --- The Moravian College women’s soccer team has been ranked ninth in the Mid-Atlantic Region in the first NCAA Division III Regional Rankings of the 2005 season released Wednesday.

The Greyhounds, who are fourth in the region and just out of the Top 25 in the polls done by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America, have a 12-3 record this season. The Greyhounds were 11-3 when the poll was conducted with all 14 matches being played in the region, which is the main criteria for the NCAA rankings. All three of Moravian’s losses are to team’s ranked above the Greyhounds. The losses are to top ranked Messiah College, fifth ranked Haverford College and eighth ranked Wilkes University.

Moravian is scheduled to return to action on Thursday, October 20th in a Commonwealth Conference match at Lebanon Valley College beginning at 4:00 p.m. The Greyhounds can clinch a postseason berth with a victory.
