MORAVIAN WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL RANKED 8TH IN FIRST NCAA REGIONAL
RANKINGS OF 2005
INDIANAPOLIS, IN --- The Moravian College women’s volleyball team has been ranked
eighth in the Mid-Atlantic Region in the first NCAA Division III Regional Rankings of the
2005 season released Wednesday.
The Greyhounds have a 20-8 record this season after a match Wednesday evening. The Greyhounds
were 19-8 when the poll was conducted with 17-7 record in the region, which is the main
criteria for the NCAA rankings. Four of Moravian’s losses are to team’s ranked
above the Greyhounds. The losses are to top ranked Juniata College, two to sixth ranked
Salisbury (MD) University and to seventh ranked Gettysburg College.
Moravian will return to action on Tuesday, October 25th in the team’s final Commonwealth
Conference match at Lebanon Valley College, which is ranked fourth in the region, beginning
at 7:00 p.m. The Greyhounds will need to win the match to clinch a postseason berth.
