MORAVIAN WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL REMAINS 8TH IN SECOND NCAA
REGIONAL RANKINGS OF 2005
INDIANAPOLIS, IN --- The Moravian College women’s volleyball team remained eighth
in the Mid-Atlantic Region in the second NCAA Division III Regional Rankings of the 2005
season released late Wednesday.
The Greyhounds have a 20-9 record this season after a match Tuesday evening. The Greyhounds
were 20-8 when the poll was conducted with an 18-7 record in the region, which is the main
criteria for the NCAA rankings. Five of Moravian’s losses are to team’s ranked
above the Greyhounds. The losses are to top ranked Juniata College, fourth seeded Lebanon
Valley College, sixth ranked Gettysburg College two to seventh ranked Salisbury (MD) University.
Moravian will close out its 2005 regular season on Saturday, October 29th in a non-conference
match versus Gwynedd-Mercy College at 11:00 a.m. in Johnston Hall.
