MORAVIAN WOMEN’S SOCCER MOVES TO 6TH IN SECOND NCAA
REGIONAL RANKINGS OF 2005
INDIANAPOLIS, IN --- The Moravian College women’s soccer team has jumped up to
6th in the Mid-Atlantic Region in the second NCAA Division III Regional Rankings of the
2005 season released late Wednesday.
The Greyhounds, who are fifth in the region in the poll done by the National Soccer Coaches
Association of America, have a 13-3-1 record this season. The Greyhounds were 12-3-1 when
the poll was conducted with all 16 matches being played in the region, which is the main
criteria for the NCAA rankings. All three of Moravian’s losses are to team’s
ranked above the Greyhounds. The losses are to top ranked Messiah College, fourth ranked
Haverford College and fifth ranked Wilkes University.
Moravian is scheduled to return to action on Thursday, October 27th in a non-conference
match versus York College of Pennsylvania beginning at 3:30 p.m.
