MORAVIAN WOMEN’S TENNIS RANKED 11TH IN REGION
SKILLMAN, NJ --- The Moravian College women’s tennis team has been ranked 11th
in the Atlantic South Region of NCAA Division III by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association’s
2005 fall rankings.
A total of 12 schools received regional rankings in the Atlantic South while a total
of 21 teams in the region were under consideration by the ITA.
Moravian completed its 2005 fall season with an overall record of 15-2 record and played
in the conference championship match for the 12th consecutive season. The Greyhounds, who
have captured seven conference titles since 1994, had one player win a flight at the 2005
Middle Atlantic State Collegiate Athletic Corporation Individual Championships while a
school record four singles players and two doubles teams reached the finals.
The Greyhounds will play a limited spring season beginning in March.
