GREYHOUNDS RANKED 2ND IN FIRST NCAA REGIONAL
POLL OF 2006 SEASON
INDIANAPOLIS, IN --- The Moravian College softball team is ranked
second in the East Region in the first NCAA Division III Regional
Rankings released Thursday.
The Greyhounds, who have an in-region record of 20-3, which is
what the poll is mainly based one, were just behind the University
of Rutgers-Camden in the region. Rounding out the top eight were
King’s College, Rowan University, the University of Pittsburgh-Bradford,
The College of New Jersey, Montclair State (NJ) University and Arcadia
University.
The Greyhounds, who are 24-4 overall and tied for 18th in the
nation in the latest National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division
III Top 25 Poll, are slated to return to action on Thursday, April
20th in a non-conference doubleheader versus William Paterson (NJ)
University in Bethlehem beginning at 3:00 p.m.
