MORAVIAN’S JUSTIN CHESTNUT & MEN’S BASKETBALL TEAM RANKED IN 1ST NCAA STATISTICS RELEASE OF 2006

INDIANAPOLIS, IN --- The Moravian College men’s basketball team has one player ranked in the first NCAA III Division men’s basketball statistical ranking released Wednesday while the Greyhounds are ranked in one team category. The statistics include games through January 1st.

Sophomore guard Justin Chestnut (Willow Grove, PA/Upper Moreland HS) is tied for 14th in the nation in free throw percentage at 93.3 percent, making 28 of 30 free throw attempts in the first nine games of the season. The Greyhounds are 26th in the country in free throw percentage at 74.3 percent (127-171).

The Greyhounds are 3-7 on the season and will return to action on Thursday, January 5th when the team hosts Delaware Valley College in a non-conference game tipping off at 8:00 p.m. in Johnston Hall.
