MORAVIAN’S KELLY APPLEGATE NAMED TO MASCAC WEEKLY HONOR
ROLL
ANNVILLE, PA --- Junior forward Kelly Applegate (Easton, PA/Wilson HS) of
the Moravian College women’s basketball team has been named to the Middle Atlantic
States Collegiate Athletic Corporation Weekly Honor Roll for her performance last week.
Applegate helped the nationally ranked Greyhounds to a 2-0 week in Commonwealth
Conference action. Applegate began the week with 21 points, 11 rebounds,
four assists and four steals in a 70-58 victory at Lebanon Valley College. She added 16
points and eight rebounds in a 64-60 overtime victory over Susquehanna University. Applegate,
who entered the week leading the nation in field goal percentage, was 14 of 33 (42.4 percent)
for the week and nine of 15 (60 percent) at the foul line, and she averaged 18.5 points
and 9.5 rebounds per game.
Moravian, which is 13-1 overall and 4-0 in Commonwealth Conference action this season,
will return to action in a Commonwealth Conference game at Widener University on Wednesday,
January 18th at 6:00 p.m. in Chester.
