MORAVIAN’S KELLY APPLEGATE & WOMEN’S BASKETBALL
TEAM RANKED IN
3rd NCAA STATISTICS RELEASE OF 2006
INDIANAPOLIS, IN --- The Moravian College women’s basketball team has one player
ranked in the third NCAA III Division women’s basketball statistical ranking released
Wednesday while the Greyhounds are ranked in the top 50 in four team categories. The statistics
include games through January 15th.
Junior forward Kelly Applegate (Easton, PA/Wilson HS) dropped to fifth
the nation in field goal percentage after leading the country for two weeks at 61.3 percent,
making 87 of 142 field goal attempts in the first 14 games of the season.
The Greyhounds are tied for 25th in the nation in scoring average at 74.9 points per
game, tied for 11th in the country in won-lost percentage at 92.9 percent (13-1), 27th
in scoring margin at +16.8 points per game, and 41st in rebounding margin at +7.1 rebounds
pre game.
The Greyhounds are 13-1 on the season and will return to action on Wednesday, January
18th when the team travels to Widener University for a Commonwealth Conference game tipping
off at 6:00 p.m.
