MORAVIAN COLLEGE’S OZZIE BROWN NAMED ECAC DIVISION III
MEN’S FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
CAPE COD, MA --- Sophomore Ozzie Brown (Plymouth Meeting, PA/Plymouth Whitemarsh
HS) of the Moravian College men’s indoor track & field team has been
named the Eastern College Athletic Conference Division III Men’s Field Athlete
of the Week for his performance last week.
The Greyhounds participated in the non-scoring Rider University-Lafayette College Invitational
at the New York City Armory last Friday. Moravian had one first place finish with Brown winning
the long jump with a leap of 7.07 meters (23 feet, 2 1/2 inches), a provisional qualifying
distance for the NCAA Division III National Championships. Brown also
finished third in the 60-meter hurdles in 8.38 seconds, and he was fourth in the high jump,
clearing 1.95 meters (six feet, 4 3/4 inches).
Moravian is slated to return to action at the Keogh Invitational hosted by Haverford
College on Sunday, February 19th.
