GREYHOUNDS MOVE BACK TO FIFTH IN THIRD NCAA DIVISION III
REGIONAL RANKING OF 2005-06 SEASON
INDIANAPOLIS, IN --- The Moravian College women’s basketball team has moved up
to fifth in the Mid-Atlantic Region in the third and final NCAA Division III Regional Rankings
released publicly late Wednesday.
There is one more poll scheduled for Sunday which the NCAA selection committee will use
in selecting the 21 Pool C/at-large berths and seeding the tournament. The field of 63
teams will be announced on Monday, February 27th at 8:00 a.m. on http://www.ncaasports.com.
The Greyhounds, who are 21-5 overall and had an 11-3 mark in Commonwealth Conference
action regular season action, were 19-5 in regional action, the main basis for the rankings.
Moravian has played several regionally ranked teams this season, falling to #1 University
of Scranton, 67-62, and #3 Muhlenberg College, 66-59. The Greyhounds did defeat #2 Messiah
College, 67-63, and Moravian also lost to Messiah, 69-55.

The Greyhounds will return to action on Saturday, February 25th in the Commonwealth Conference
Championship game at Messiah College tipping off at 3:00 p.m. in Grantham. Moravian is
playing in the conference championship game for the fourth consecutive year, and the winner
of the game gets an automatic berth into the NCAA Division III National Championship Tournament.
