FOUR MORAVIAN FOOTBALL PLAYERS RANKED IN
NCAA DIVISION III STATISTICS
INDIANAPOLIS,
IN --- The Moravian College football team has four student-athletes
ranked in the NCAA Division III statistical rankings through games
of September 30th, and the Greyhounds are ranked in the top 50 in
one team category.
Sophomore
wide receiver Tyler Hersch (Macungie, PA/Emmaus HS),
pictured at right, is first nation in kickoff return average with
a 37.8 yard average on four returns. Sophomore kicker Brian
Reckenbeil (Branchburg, PA/Somerville HS), pictured at
left, is tied for eighth in field goals per game at 1.33.
Sophomore linebacker Andrew Morrissey (Emmaus, PA/Emmaus
HS), pictured at bottom right, is tied for ninth in the
country in forced fumbles per game at 0.67 while senior linebacker
Cliff Garr (Easton, PA/Notre Dame HS), pictured
at bottom left, is tied for 21st 0.50 forced fumbles per contest.
Moravian
is 16th in the country in kickoff returns with an average of 25.53
yards per return.
The
Greyhounds will return to action on Saturday, October 7th in a Middle
Atlantic Conference game at Delaware Valley College. Kickoff is
slated for 1:00 p.m. at James Work memorial Stadium in Doylestown.
