THE GAME: Moravian looks to snap a two-game losing
streak and plays its annual Homecoming game in a Middle Atlantic
Conference game versus Fairleigh Dickinson University College at
Florham. Kickoff is slated for 1:00 p.m. at Rocco Calvo Field in
Bethlehem, PA.
THE COACHES: Scot Dapp (West Chester ’73)
enters his 20th season at Moravian, with a career record of 119-81-1
(.595). He entered the season in the top 50th in winning percentage
among NCAA Division III active coaches. Dapp, who
served as the president of the American Football Coaches Association
in 2005, has earned Coach-of-the-Year honors from the MAC three
times including Co-Coach of the Year in 1997 and has led the ’Hounds
to two appearances in the NCAA playoffs, the ECAC Southeast Bowl
game in 2002, the ECAC Southwest Bowl game in 2004 & 2005, winning
the title in 2005.
FDU-Florham coach Rich Mosca
(West Liberty ’70) is in his fifth season at the
school with an 11-34 record (.244).
THE SERIES: Saturday’s meeting will be the
12th in the series with the Greyhounds owning a 10-1 lead. Moravian
won last season’s meeting, 41-17 in Madison, New Jersey, and
the Hounds have won the last six games between the two schools.
The Greyhounds also won the first four meetings in the series while
FDU-Florham’s only victory was in 1999 with a 13-10 win.
LAST TIME THEY MET: In Madison, New Jersey last
fall, quarterback Jerry Venturino completed 12
of 19 passes for 226 yards and two touchdowns, and he ran for another
score to lead Moravian to a 41-17 victory at FDU-Florham in MAC
action. FDU took the opening kick off and drove down to the Moravian
28-yard line when Greyhound linebacker Andrew Morrissey
(Emmaus, PA/Emmaus HS) intercepted a deflected pass at
the five-yard line and returned it to the Moravian 23-yard line.
Morrissey also had five tackles in the game. The
Greyhounds took the lead on a one-yard quarterback sneak by Venturino
to cap a 13-play, 77-yard drive that took 6:34 off the clock. Brian
Reckenbeil (Branchburg, NJ/Somerville HS) added the extra-point
for a 7-0 Greyhound lead with 2:58 remaining in the first quarter.
After forcing the Devils to punt, the Greyhounds went on a ten-play,
66-yard drive that Reckenbeil finished off with
a 29-yard field goal, giving Moravian a 10-0 lead with 7:11 left
in the first half. The Devils would score their first points of
the game on a 45-yard field goal to cut the Greyhounds lead to 10-3
with 4:33 remaining in the second quarter. Moravian scored once
again before halftime on a ten yard pass from Venturino
to wide receiver Ben Hawkins to cap off a nine-play,
79-yard drive. Reckenbeil added the extra-point
for a 17-3 lead with just 28 seconds remaining before the intermission.
On the reception, Hawkins became the sixth player
in Moravian history to reach the 1,500-yard career receiving plateau.
Hawkins caught six passes for 130 yards in the
game to lift his career receiving totals to 1,513 yards on 75 catches
with 15 touchdowns. The Greyhounds opened the second half with a
nine-play, 72-yard drive with Venturino finishing
off the drive with a 34-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Cletus
Kilker. Reckenbeil’s extra-point
extended Moravian’s lead to 24-3 with 10:23 remaining in the
third quarter. Kilker had two receptions for 46
yards. After forcing Moravian to punt for the first time in the
game, FDU drove 77 yards in nine plays and scored its first touchdown
of the contest. The extra-point attempt was blocked by defensive
end/punter Corey Czerniak leaving the score 24-9
with 1:39 remaining in the third quarter. Czerniak
averaged 36.5 yards on two punts. Each team would punt on their
next possession. Moravian would finish off its next drive of 38
yards on just three plays with running back Chris Jacoubs
finding the end zone on a 24-yard scamper. Reckenbeil’s
extra-point extended the Greyhounds’ lead back to
22 points at 31-9 with 12:54 remaining in the game. Jacoubs
had 133 yards on 21 carries to become the first player in school
history to surpass 3,500 career yards. Moravian added three more
points on a 25-yard field goal by Reckenbeil with
9:54 remaining in the game to give the Greyhounds a 34-9 lead. On
the drive, running back Marc Panepinto (Perkiomenville,
PA/Boyertown HS) had a 42-yard carry. Panepinto
had a total of 62 yards on five carries as the Greyhounds had 269
rushing yards on 47 attempts in the game with 11 different players
handling the ball. Fullback Kevin Lukich added
34 yards on five carries. FDU would score again on a fourth-and-13
play. The play finished off a nine-play, 77-yard drive, and the
Devils added the two point conversion to cut the score to 34-17
with 6:41 left in the fourth quarter. The Greyhounds added another
score on a 45-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Brad
Swartz (Temple, PA/Muhlenberg HS) to wide receiver Rob
Shaffer (Pottsville, PA/Pottsville HS), the first career
touchdown for both players. Moravian needed just three plays to
complete the 50-yard drive. Reckenbeil nailed his fifth extra-point
of the game to give the Greyhounds a 41-17 with 6:02 remaining in
the game. Moravian ended the game with the ball on the FDU two yard
line after driving 35 yards on seven plays. The Devils had turned
the ball over on downs on their final possession. Linebacker Chad
DiFelice led the Greyhounds with 12 tackles while forcing
two fumbles. Linebacker Cliff Garr (Easton, PA/Notre Dame
HS) had eight tackles while defensive back Mario Bevilaqua
added seven tackles. Defensive end Steve Cline
and defensive tackle Tom Braxmeier (Center Valley, PA/Allentown
Central Catholic HS) each had one and a half sacks for
the Greyhounds.
LAST WEEK: Moravian was shut out by Delaware Valley
College, 39-0, in Middle Atlantic Conference action, the first time
the Greyhounds had been shutout since the 2004 season. The Greyhounds
would receive the opening kickoff and on the third play of the drive,
Delaware Valley intercepted a pass by Moravian sophomore quarterback
Marc Braxmeier (Center Valley, PA/Allentown Central Catholic
HS) at the DVC 46 yard line. The Aggies would drive down
and take a 6-0 lead on a halfback option by pass to finish off the
eight-play, 54-yard drive. Moravian senior defensive lineman Alex
Smith-Constantine (Secaucus, NJ/Secaucus HS) blocked the
extra-point to keep the game at 6-0 with 10:13 left in the first
quarter. After forcing the Greyhounds into a punt after three plays,
Delaware Valley would drive 59 yards in 11 plays to score again.
The Aggies would go for the two-point conversion but the pass ended
up out-of-bounds to keep the score at 12-0 with 2:31 left in the
first quarter. Moravian was only able to run three plays again before
punting. The Aggies would drive down the field and score on a 21-yard
touchdown pass on a third-and-18 play to extend Delaware Valley’s
lead to 19-0 with 12:01 remaining in the second quarter. During
the drive, Delaware Valley faced a third-and-20 while Moravian sophomore
linebacker Andrew Morrissey sacked the Aggies’
quarterback but was called for a personal foul by grabbing the face
mask to keep the Aggies’ drive alive with an automatic first
down. The Greyhounds would pick up their first first down of the
game before Delaware Valley intercepted a pass by Greyhound sophomore
Brad Swartz at the Delaware Valley 25-yard line. Moravian forced
the Aggies into another long third down and finally made the stop,
forcing Delaware Valley to punt for the first time in the game.
Moravian began its next drive at the Delaware Valley 46-yard line.
The Greyhounds picked up a pair of first downs to move into the
red zone, however, a pair of sacks forced Moravian to punt from
the 34-yard line. Delaware Valley would drive down into the red
zone before Moravian sophomore safety Carl Robinson (Boothwyn,
PA/Garnet Valley HS) intercepted a pass in the end zone
on the final play of the first half leaving the Aggie lead at 19-0.
Delaware Valley would receive the opening kickoff of the second
half. The Aggies would run just three plays before punting, and
the Greyhounds would take over at their own 37-yard line. Freshman
quarterback Ryan Rempe (Dickson City, PA/Mid-Valley HS)
came in as the Greyhounds’ third quarterback of the game and
completed his first pass to junior tight end Kris Bisci
(Easton, PA/Easton HS) for a first down in Delaware Valley
territory. Rempe then connected with sophomore
running back Tyler McCambridge (Northampton, PA/Allentown
Central Catholic HS) with a six-yard pass on a fourth-and-one
to keep the drive alive down to the DVC 36-yard line. Moravian would
eventually end up punting the ball away with sophomore punter Michael
Voskian (Brielle, NJ/Manasquan HS) rolling the ball dead
at the Aggies’ 11-yard line. The Aggies scored on another
long third down to take a 25-0 with 2:34 remaining in the third
quarter. After picking up a first down on a quarterback draw, Rempe
was intercepted. On the first play, Delaware Valley scored for a
32-0 lead Delaware Valley with 14 seconds remaining in the third
quarter. Moravian got a decent return on the kickoff from senior
wide receiver Shawn Martell (Bethlehem, PA/Bethlehem Catholic
HS); however, Martell was stripped of
the ball with the Aggies recovering the ball at the Moravian 41-yard
line. The Greyhounds would force a punt on fourth-and-33. Moravian
would pick-up on a first down on a Rempe rush before
punting. Delaware Valley would drive down into the red zone again.
The Aggies eventually scored with 6:01 remaining in the fourth quarter
to cap off an eight-play, 55 yard drive. The extra-point gave Delaware
Valley a 39-0 lead. The team’s would trade three plays and
punt for the rest of the game. Delaware Valley finished the game
with 460 yards on 70 plays while Moravian gained just 84 yards on
45 plays. Offensively for Moravian, Rempe completed
four of ten passes for 32 yards and an interception while Swartz
was two-for-four for 18 yards with one interception. Braxmeier
did not complete a pass but was intercepted once in three attempts.
McCambridge led the Greyhounds with 28 yards on
11 carries, and he caught two passes for ten yards while Rempe
picked up 24 yards on three carries. Sophomore fullback Morgan
de Rouen (West Milford, NJ/West Milford HS) had 16 yards
on six carries while Martell caught one pass for 14 yards. Smith-Constantine
led the Moravian defense with ten tackles including two
for loss and half a sack. Sophomore defensive back Erik
Brinkerhoff (Boonton, NJ/Boonton HS) added eight tackles
with three for loss and a sack while Robinson had
eight tackles and a pass break-up to go with his interception. Morrissey
had seven tackles for the Greyhounds with three for loss, a sack
and a pass break-up.
SCOUTING FDU-FLORHAM: The Devils enter the game
with an overall record of 0-5 and an 0-4 mark in MAC action. Senior
quarterback Dan Huff leads FDU-Florham on the field. He has completed
67 of 142 passes for 837 yards with four touchdowns and three interceptions.
Huff is also the Devils’ leading rusher with 203 yards and
four touchdowns on 79 carries. Junior wide receiver Ray Kwiatkowski
has caught 14 passes for 150 yards and a score while senior wide
receiver Mike Smeja has 13 receptions for 192 yards and three touchdowns.
Junior wide receiver Keven Martin has caught 13 passes for 169 yards
while senior wide receiver Dan Copp has eight receptions for 78
yards. Junior running back Dan Harrison has run for 182 yards on
42 carries while sophomore running back Adam LaValley has 132 yards
and a touchdown on 32 attempts. Junior defensive back Michael Lotwich
is averaging 15.2 yards per kickoff return on ten returns, and he
has 25 yards on four kickoff returns. Sophomore kicker Mike Barnard
is seven-for-seven on extra-points, and he has connected on three
of five field goal attempts with a long of 33 yards. Huff also handles
the punting duties for the Devils and is averaging 42.0 yards per
punt with two fair caught and two inside the 20-yard line. Junior
defensive tackle KC Ogbonna leads FDU-Florham in tackles with 39
to go with one tackle for loss and half a sack. Senior linebacker
Shane Hayes has contributed 36 tackles with two for loss, one interception,
two pass break-ups and a forced fumble while junior defensive end
Tom Capra has 31 tackles, five tackles for loss, two sacks, a pass
break-up and a fumble recovery. Junior safety Jon Sacco has made
30 tackles this season with two for loss, a half a sack, two pass
break-ups and a fumble recovery.
BALANCED & EXPERIENCED ‘HOUNDS: Of the
81 players on the Moravian roster, 17 are freshmen, 35 are sophomores
and 18 are juniors. There are 11 seniors on this season’s
squad, and the Greyhounds return 57 letterwinners and nine starters.
GREYHOUNDS IN THE MIDDLE ATLANTIC CONFERENCE: Beginning
five seasons ago, the Middle Atlantic Conference became an 11-team
conference instead of two separate leagues. Moravian was selected
to finish sixth in the MAC Preseason Coaches Poll this season while
FDU-Florham was picked ninth. Wilkes University was selected to
win the MAC.
THE MAC STATISTICAL RANKINGS: The Greyhounds are
tenth in the MAC in total defense, allowing 352.0 yards per game.
The squad is 11th in passing defense at 223.0 yards per game, and
the defense is fifth in rushing yards allowed at 129.0. The Greyhounds
are eighth in points allowed at 23.6 per game, and the squad is
fifth in points scored per game at 19.2. Offensively, Moravian is
11th in the MAC at 240.8 yards per game. The Greyhounds are ranked
ninth in rushing offense at 98.2 yards per game and ninth in passing
offense at 142.6 yards per game. Moravian is tied for seventh in
turnover margin with a -0.60 per game average as the Greyhounds
have committed 11 turnovers while forcing eight turnovers. The Greyhounds
are also first in the MAC in kickoff coverage with a net of 40.3.
Individually, sophomore running back Tyler McCambridge
is tenth in the MAC in rushing with an average of 42.0 yards per
game, and he is tied for seventh in scoring at 5.0 points per game
and sixth in touchdown scoring at 5.0 points per game. Sophomore
quarterback Marc Braxmeier is eighth in the conference
in pass efficiency with a 117.3 rating, and he is tenth in passing
yards per game at 99.8. Senior wide receiver Shawn Martell
is eighth in receiving yards per game at 52.0. Sophomore Brian
Reckenbeil is fourth in kick scoring at 4.0 points per
game, and he is tied for second in field goals at 1.00 per contest.
Sophomore punter Michael Voskian is tenth in the
MAC in punting at 32.0 yards per punt. Senior linebacker Cliff
Garr is tied for fourth in the MAC with 0.40 fumbles forced
per game while junior linebacker Dan Edleman (Pottstown,
PA/The Hill School) leads the MAC with 0.40 fumble recoveries
per game. Sophomore defensive back Carl Robinson
is tied for seventh in the MAC in passes defended per game at 1.00.
Sophomore linebacker Andrew Morrissey is third
in the MAC in forced fumbles per game a 0.50, and he is fourth in
tackles at 8.2 per contest. Garr is tied for eighth
in the MAC in tackles at 7.6 per game while junior safety Zach
Santiago (Bethlehem, PA/Bethlehem Catholic HS) is tied
for 19th at 6.4 tackles a contest. Sophomore linebacker Kevin
McGorry (Whitehall, PA/Allentown Central Catholic HS) is
tied for 29th in tackles with 6.0 per game while freshman defensive
back Brad Bodine (Mt. Bethel, PA/Bangor HS) is
tied for 35th at 5.6 tackles per contest. Robinson is tied for 40th
at 5.2 tackles per game while senior defensive tackle Alex
Smith-Constantine is tied for 42nd at 5.0.
MILESTONE & RECORD WATCH: Moravian has two
players moving up the record books. Senior wide receiver Shawn
Martell needs five receptions to move into 12th all-time
and 96 yards to move up to 9th all-time. Martell
currently has 72 catches for 1,305 yards. He is tied for seventh
with ten career touchdown receptions. Sophomore kicker Brian
Reckenbeil is third in school history with 14 career field
goals, and he is seventh in extra-points with 33 and fourth all-time
in kick scoring with 72 points. Reckenbeil needs
three extra-points to move up to sixth and seven points to move
into third.
THE QUARTERBACKS: Sophomore Marc Braxmeier
has completed 32 of 62 passes for 399 yards with three interceptions
and four touchdowns for a 117.28 pass efficiency rating. Braxmeier,
who has been sacked eight times, has added 18 yards on 15 carries.
Junior Brad Swartz has completed 19 of 39 passes
for 282 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions for a 107.66
pass efficiency rating. Swartz has been sacked
eight times this season but dies have a one-yard touchdown run and
a long run of 15 yards. Freshman quarterback Ryan Rempe
has completed four of 11 passes for 32 yards with two interceptions,
one thrown on a wide receiver reverse against Widener University,
for a 224.44 pass efficiency rating. Rempe has
added for 24 yards on three carries, and he has not been sacked.
IN THE BACKFIELD: In the backfield, sophomore
tailback Tyler de Rouen (West Milford, NJ/West Milford HS)
has 261 yards and three touchdowns on 52 carries while sophomore
running back Tyler McCambridge has 168 yards and
two touchdowns on 45 carries. Senior tailback Marc Panepinto
(Perkiomenville, PA/Boyertown HS), who is out for the season
with an injury, has added 12 yards on three rushing attempts while
sophomore full back Morgan de Rouen has 49 yards
on 14 carries. Senior fullback Joe Costanzo (Barnstead,
NH/Bow HS & Tilton School) has added five yards on
three attempts.
THE WIDE RECEIVERS: The Greyhounds have had ten
different players catch a pass this season led by senior wide receiver
Shawn Martell, who has caught 13 passes for 260
yards and a score. Junior tight end Kris Bisci has 12 catches for
144 yards and two touchdowns. Sophomore wide receiver Tyler Hersch
(Macungie, PA/Emmaus HS) has seven receptions for 122 yards while
sophomore running back Tyler McCambridge has eight
catches for 79 yards and a touchdown. Junior wide receiver Sean
Hill (West Reading, PA/Wyomissing HS), who was converted
to the position from quarterback during the week leading up to the
season opener, has four receptions for 36 yards while sophomore
running back Tyler de Rouen has three catches for
17 yards. Sophomore fullback Morgan de Rouen has two receptions
for 29 yards and a touchdown this season while junior wide receiver
Allan Fatzinger (Catasauqua, PA/Catasauqua HS) has
three catches for 12 yards and freshman tight end Brian
Dencker (Boonton, NJ/Boonton HS) has two receptions for
six yards.
OFFENSIVE LINE: Leading the way for the backfield
will be a solid offensive line that returns two starters from last
season with senior Andrew Remsing (Bath, PA/Northampton
HS) and sophomore Timothy McBride (Egg Harbor Township,
NJ/Egg Harbor Township HS) returning. Junior Dave
Kircher (Manasquan, NJ/Manasquan HS), who began 2005 as
a starter for Moravian before an injury in the fourth game of the
year sidelined him for the remainder of the season, also gives experience
to the Moravian line. Junior Eric Adams (Dover, NJ/Dover
HS) and junior transfer Jeff Kocsis (Bethlehem,
PA/Bethlehem Catholic HS) have earned the other two starting
positions. Kocsis was a two-year starter for NCAA
Division II East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania and earned
on a spot on the All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference East
Second Team last fall for the Warriors. Sophomores Wes Harpel
(East Greenville, PA/Upper Perkiomen HS) and Blair
Maginnis (Asbury, NJ/Warren Hills Regional HS) also see
action.
DEFENSIVE FRONT: Senior defensive tackle Alex Smith-Constantine
leads the Moravian defensive front with 25 tackles with six and
a half for loss, a half a sack and a blocked extra-point against
Delaware Valley College. Sophomore defensive end Don Maxwell
(Berkeley Heights, NJ/Governor Livingston HS) has added
20 tackles this season including three for loss and a sack while
senior defensive end Nick Feo (Hampton, NJ/Voorhees HS)
has ten tackles, a tackle for loss, a sack, two pass break-ups and
forced a fumble. Sophomore defensive tackle Robert Kadel
(Blairstown, NJ/North Warren HS) has contributed seven
tackles with one for loss while senior defensive tackle Michael
Liccketto (Barrington, NJ/Haddon Heights HS) has four tackles
this season and blocked a field goal against Widener University.
Junior defensive end Arturo Duran (Ridgewood, NJ/Ridgewood
HS) has five tackles with a half tackle for loss. Sophomore
defensive tackle Mike Nagle (Marlton, NJ/Bishop Eustace
HS) has added two tackles while sophomore Michael
Ientile (Manchester, NJ/Manchester Township HS) has two
tackles and recovered a fumble.
THE LINEBACKER CORPS: Senior Cliff Garr
leads the team with 38 tackles with two for loss, and he has forced
two fumbles, a sack and a fumble recovery. Sophomore linebacker
Andrew Morrissey has 33 tackles, three tackles
for loss, two sacks, two forced fumbles and a pass break-up despite
missing the game versus King’s with an injury. Sophomore linebacker
Kevin McGorry has contributed 30 tackles with one
and a half for loss, a forced fumble, a pass break-up and an interception
with a 25-yard return against King’s College while junior
linebacker Dan Edleman has 15 tackles with three
for loss, a pass break-up and two fumble recoveries. Freshman linebacker
Jayson Williams (Collingswood, NJ/Collingswood HS)
has seven tackles, a tackle for loss and two pass break-ups while
freshman linebacker Daniel Merker (Leonardo, NJ/Middletown
South HS) has added four stops.
THE DEFENSIVE BACKFIELD: In the defensive backfield,
junior free safety/linebacker Zach Santiago has
a 32 tackles, four tackles for loss, one and a half a sacks, three
pass break-ups and a forced fumble while freshman cornerback Brad
Bodine has added 28 tackles including 24 solo stops to
go with a tackle for loss, one sack, two pass break-ups and a forced
fumble. Sophomore strong safety Carl Robinson has
contributed 26 tackles, a tackle for loss, a sack, two interceptions
and three pass break-ups while senior cornerback Israel
Aguila (Bethlehem, PA/Liberty HS) has 15 tackles, a tackle
for loss and four passes defended. Sophomore defensive back Eric
Brinkerhoff has 20 tackles, three and a half tackles for
loss, one and a half sacks, two passes defended, a forced fumble
and a fumble recovery while senior defensive back Justin
Klement (Whitehall, PA/Whitehall HS) has contributed ten
tackles, two pass break-ups and a blocked punt against Juniata College.
Sophomore cornerback Ryan Andrew (Belle Mead, NJ/Montgomery
HS) added three tackles.
KICKING GAME: Sophomore Brian Reckenbeil
is five-for-six on field goal attempts this season with a career
long of 42 yards versus King’s College, and he is five-of-nine
on extra-points. Reckenbeil is averaging 56.3 yards
per kickoff as well, making opponents receive the kickoff at their
own eight-yard line. Sophomore punter Michael Voskian
is averaging 32.0 yards per punt on 22 kicks with four fair caught
and five inside the 20-yard line. Voskian’s longest
punt of the season is 40 yards at Susquehanna University and versus
King’s. Sophomore Bruce Krell (Tuscarora, PA/Tamaqua
HS) has punted once for 24 yards this season.
SPECIAL TEAMS: Sophomore wide receiver Tyler Hersch
is averaging 37.8 yards per kickoff return on four returns with
a 92-yard touchdown versus King’s College. The return was
Moravian’s third for a touchdown of more than 90 yards since
2002. Senior Marc Panepinto averaged 42.5 yards
per kickoff return after a 72-yard runback on his second return
in the season opener before being knocked out for the season with
an injury. Freshman running back Edward Savoth (Brielle,
NJ/Manasquan HS) has four kickoff returns for 79 yards
with a long of 37 yards at Juniata College, and he has six tackles.
Freshman quarterback Ryan Rempe has returned five
punts for an average of 8.2 yards and a long return of 14 yards
and one kickoff for 35 yards while sophomore running back Tyler
McCambridge has two punt returns for 32 yards. Senior wide
receiver Shawn Martell has returned five punts
for 39 yards, two kickoffs for 46 yards and added four tackles.
Sophomore running back Morgan de Rouen has made
six tackles on special teams while junior wide receiver Allan
Fatzinger has four tackles and junior wide receiver Sean
Hill has three tackles. Fatzinger has
added two kickoff returns for 36 yards while Hill
has returned three kickoffs for 47 yards.
OVERTIME ‘HOUNDS: Moravian has played a
total of seven overtime games since the NCAA instituted the rule
for the 1996 season and is 5-2 all-time in the extra-session. Last
year was the fifth time since 1996 that the Greyhounds did not play
at least one overtime game.
WINNING WAYS: Moravian had 11 consecutive winning
seasons—all under Coach Scot Dapp, from 1987
to 1997 and has had 15 winning seasons in Dapp’s
19 years. The 11-straight winning seasons is the longest in school
history. Dapp ranks third among Greyhound coaches
in winning percentage.
ON THE AIRWAVES: For the 10th straight year, the
Greyhounds' games will be on the radio. Moravian's games will be
aired on WYHM 1470 AM for the third straight year. Phil
May calls the play-by-play call with color commentary and
technical assistance from John Elliott. The games

STARTERS PLAYER OF THE GAME: As part of Moravian's
radio contract with 1470 WYHM, the announcers will select the Starters
Player of the Game for Moravian during the St. Luke's Hospital Post-Game
Show. Last week, sophomore defensive back Erik Brinkerhoff
was selected as the player of the game after making eight tackles
including three for loss and one of the Greyhounds three sacks in
a 39-0 loss at Delaware Valley College. Starters Riverport and Starters
Pub, sponsors of Moravian College Athletics, are located on 2nd
Street and Route 378 South of Bethlehem.
