MORAVIAN’S RECKENBEIL EARNS MAC FOOTBALL
HONORS
ANNVILLE,
PA --- Sophomore kicker Brian Reckenbeil (Branchburg, NJ/Somerville
HS) of the Moravian College football team has been named
the Middle Atlantic Conference Special Teams Player of the Week
for his performances in Moravian’s 28-14 win over FDU-Florham
on Saturday.
In just his 17th career game, Reckenbeil moved
into third all-time at Moravian in kick scoring with 83 points.
Reckenbeil had eight points in the victory over
FDU-Florham including two extra-points and a pair of field goals
of 38 and 39 yards. Reckenbeil did miss a 40-yard
field goal attempt into the wind. He has made 16 of 22 career field
goal attempts with a long of 42 yards, and Reckenbeil is 35 of 40
on extra-points after starting his career 28-for-28. Reckenbeil
has only handled field goals and extra-points for 14 and a half
games, serving as a kickoff specialist the first two and a half
games of his career.
Moravian will return to action on Saturday, October 21st in an
MAC game at Wilkes University at 1:00 p.m. in Kingston, Pennsylvania.
