MORAVIAN'S NEIL CANIGA NAMED COMMONWEALTH
CONFERENCE MEN'S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
ANNVILLE,
PA --- Senior Neil Caniga (Hampton, NJ/Voorhees HS)
of the Moravian College men's tennis team has been named the Commonwealth
Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week for his performance last
week.
Caniga, pictured at right, posted an undefeated
week in singles and doubles action for the Greyhounds while the
team was 1-1. Caniga won both his second singles
contests and partnered with freshman Ian Box (Charlestown,
MA/The Rivers School) to win both his first doubles matches.
Caniga now has a 36-24 career singles mark, just
one win shy of tying for third all-time at Moravian.
Moravian, which is 4-2 overall and 0-1 in Commonwealth Conference
action this season, is scheduled to return to action on Wednesday,
March 28th in a Commonwealth Conference match versus Messiah College
beginning at 3:00 p.m. at Hoffman Courts in Bethlehem.
