MORAVIAN’S JENNY HACKLEMAN NAMED TO ECAC DIVISION III SOUTHERN ALL-STAR SECOND TEAM

CAPE COD, MA --- Senior forward Jenny Hackleman (Arroyo Grande, CA/Rutgers Prep {NJ} HS) of the Moravian College women’s basketball team has been named to the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference Division III Southern All-Star Second Team announced earlier this month by the ECAC.

Hackleman, who was also on the Commonwealth All-Conference Second Team this past winter, averaged 11.2 points and a team leading average of 9.2 rebounds per contest despite missing the first five games of the year with an injury. Hackleman, who had been on the Commonwealth All-Conference Second Team as a sophomore and the Commonwealth Conference Rookie of the Year in 2003-04, finished out her career with 814 rebounds, which is third all-time at Moravian, and with 1,161 points, which is 11th all-time. Hackleman also contributed 50 steals, a team high 32 blocked shots and 65 assists since returning to the lineup.

Moravian head coach Mary Beth Spirk led the Greyhounds to a 19-11 overall record, the 2007 ECAC Division III Southern Championship, a 9-5 slate in Commonwealth Conference action and the squad’s sixth straight postseason berth this year. Spirk has a career record of 372-180.
