GREYHOUNDS REMAIN 1st IN THIRD NCAA DIVISION
III SOFTBALL REGIONAL POLL OF 2007 SEASON
INDIANAPOLIS, IN --- The Moravian College softball team maintained
its first place ranking for the third consecutive week in the East
Region in the third NCAA Division III Regional Rankings released
Thursday.
The Greyhounds, who have an in-region record of 25-2, which is
what the poll is mainly based one, are followed by Montclair State
(NJ) University, King’s College, Ramapo College of New Jersey,
Rutgers-Camden, Arcadia University, Ursinus College and Wilkes University.
The Greyhounds, who are 29-5 overall and ranked tenth in the nation
in the latest National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division III
Top 25 Poll, are slated to return to action on Friday, May 4th as
the top seed in the 2007 Commonwealth Conference Tournament at Lebanon
Valley College in Annville. Moravian will play fourth seeded Messiah
College at 11:00 a.m. in the first game of the tournament.
