MORAVIAN COLLEGE WOMEN’S TENNIS TEAM
RANKED 11TH IN ATLANTIC SOUTH REGION
SKILLMAN, NJ --- The Moravian College women’s tennis team
has been ranked 11th in the Atlantic South Region of NCAA Division
III by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association’s 2006 fall
rankings.
A total of 25 schools received regional rankings in the Atlantic
South.
Moravian completed its 2005 fall season with an overall record
of 12-1 record, won the Commonwealth Conference Championship and
earned a berth in the 2007 NCAA Division III National Championship
Tournament. The Greyhounds, who have played in the conference championship
match for 13 straight years and captured eight conference titles
since 1994, had three players win flights at the 2006 Middle Atlantic
State Collegiate Athletic Corporation Individual Championships.
The Greyhounds will play five matches in the spring season beginning
in April as the team prepares for its first-ever NCAA Tournament
appearance in May.
