MORAVIAN COLLEGE BASKETBALL TEAMS TO JOIN
IN “COACHES VS. CANCER” FIGHT
BETHLEHEM, PA --- The Moravian College men’s and women’s
basketball teams will be hosting their 14th annual “Coaches
versus Cancer” event on Tuesday, January 30th and Wednesday
January 31st when the teams host Albright College in Commonwealth
Conference action. The women’s game will tip-off at 7:00 p.m.
on Tuesday while the men’s contest is scheduled for Wednesday
at 8:00 p.m.
The “Coaches versus Cancer” program increases awareness,
while raising funds for the American Cancer Society’s research,
education, and patient services.
All proceeds from pledges, raffles, and concessions will be donated
to the American Cancer Society. We are asking that faculty, staff,
and students join us in this fight. In the past, the Moravian College
community has been very generous in your support of this event.
The brothers of Sigma Phi Epsilon will be on hand to take your donations.
Moravian will also be accepting pledges for each assist the Greyhound
teams make in the doubleheader. (Currently, the men’s team
is averaging 13.9 assists and the women are averaging 12.9, so a
pledge of $1 would be a $27 donation for the evening.) There will
also be raffle tickets available for prizes during both games.
Pledge sign up sheets will be available near the entrances of
the gym. If you can not attend the game, but wish to make a pledge,
please email assistant women’s basketball coach Amy Endler
at fieldhockey@moravian.edu
and your name will be added to the pledge sheet.
