MORAVIAN MEN’S BASKETBALL TEAM, ONE
PLAYER RANKED IN LATEST NCAA STATISTICS RELEASE
INDIANAPOLIS,
IN --- The Moravian College men’s basketball team is ranked
two team categories, and the Greyhounds have one player ranked in
the fifth NCAA III Division men’s basketball statistical ranking
released Tuesday. The statistics include games through January 28th.
Junior forward Mark Franzyshen (Somerset, NJ/Immaculata
HS) is ranked 39th in the nation in free throw percentage,
connecting on 85.6 percent (89 of 104) of his free throw attempts.
Franzyshen is just one of seven players ranked
in the top 50 to have attempted at least 100 free throws so far
this season.
The Greyhounds are sixth in the country in free throw percentage
at 77.7 percent (335 of 431), and Moravian is ranked 48th in the
country in steals per game at 9.9.
Moravian is 10-9 on the season and will return to action on Wednesday,
January 31st in a Commonwealth Conference game versus Albright College
at 8:00 p.m. in Johnston Hall.
