MORAVIAN WOMEN’S BASKETBALL TEAM,
ONE PLAYER RANKED IN LATEST NCAA STATISTICS RELEASE
INDIANAPOLIS,
IN --- The Moravian College women’s basketball team is ranked
two categories in the ninth NCAA III Division women’s basketball
statistical ranking released Tuesday, and the Greyhounds have one
player ranked. The statistics include games through February 25th.
Freshman guard Jessica Foran (Annandale, NJ/Rutgers Prep
HS) is 30th in the nation in free throw percentage, connecting
on 84.5 percent (82 of 97) of her free throw attempts.
The Greyhounds are fifth in the nation in free throw percentage
at 75.3 percent (482 of 640), and the squad is tied for first in
free throws made of the 50 ranked teams and attempted the second
most free throws. Moravian is 39th in the country in steals per
game with an average of 12.7.
Moravian is 16-11 on the season and will return to action on Wednesday,
February 28th in an Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference Division
III Southern Championship Quarterfinal game at Penn State-Behrend
tipping off at 6:00 p.m. in Erie.
