FIVE MORAVIAN FOOTBALL PLAYERS RANKED IN LATEST NCAA DIVISION III STATISTICS

INDIANAPOLIS, IN --- The Moravian College football team has five student-athletes ranked in the NCAA Division III statistical rankings through games of September 15th, and the Greyhounds are ranked in the top 50 in six team categories.

Junior running back Tyler McCambridge (Northampton, PA/Allentown Central Catholic HS), pictured at right, is 22nd in the country in rushing yardage with 325 yards, and he is 25th in all-purpose yardage at 179.7 yards per game, 35th in punt returns with an average of 12.2 yards per return and 48th in rushing yards per game with an average of 108.3 yards per contest.

Junior quarterback Marc Braxmeier (Center Valley, PA/Allentown Central Catholic HS), pictured at left, is eighth in the nation in pass efficiency with a 190.4 rating while junior linebacker Kevin McGorry (Whitehall, PA/Allentown Central Catholic HS), pictured at bottom right, is tied for first in the nation in forced fumbles at 1.0 per game.  

Junior linebacker Andrew Morrissey (Emmaus, PA/Emmaus HS) is tied for 14th in country in forced fumbles with 0.67 per game while junior kicker Brian Reckenbeil (Branchburg, NJ/Somerville HS) is tied for 14th in the country in field goals per game at 1.3.

Moravian is 11th in pass efficiency at 176.57, 23rd in punt returns at 14.3 yards per return, tied for 33rd in turnover margin at +1.67, tied for 25th in passes intercepted at 5.0, tied for 10th in fumbles recovered at 5.0 and tied for 12th in turnovers gained at 10.0.

The Greyhounds will return to action on Saturday, September 22nd in a Centennial Conference game at Johns Hopkins University.  Kickoff is slated for 1:00 p.m. at Homewood Field in Baltimore.
