FIVE MORAVIAN FOOTBALL PLAYERS RANKED IN NCAA DIVISION III STATISTICS

INDIANAPOLIS, IN --- The Moravian College football team has five student-athletes ranked in the NCAA Division III statistical rankings through games of September 22nd, and the Greyhounds are ranked in the top 50 in seven team categories.

Junior quarterback Marc Braxmeier (Center Valley, PA/Allentown Central Catholic HS), pictured at right, is sixth in the nation in pass efficiency with a 192.1 rating and 34th in passing yards with 803 while junior linebacker Andrew Morrissey (Emmaus, PA/Emmaus HS), pictured at left, is tied for first in the nation in forced fumbles at 1.0 per game. 

Junior running back Tyler McCambridge (Northampton, PA/Allentown Central Catholic HS) is 48th in the country in rushing yardage with 325 yards, and he is 35th in punt returns with an average of 12.2 yards per return.

Junior linebacker Kevin McGorry (Whitehall, PA/Allentown Central Catholic HS), pictured at right, is tied for 16th in country in forced fumbles with 0.75 per game while junior kicker Brian Reckenbeil (Branchburg, NJ/Somerville HS) is tied for 17th in the country in field goals per game at 1.3.

Moravian is eighth in pass efficiency at 180.66, tied for 35th in punt returns at 12.86 yards per return, tied for third in fumbles recovered at 8.0, tied for 13th in turnovers gained at 13.0, tied for 43rd in passes had intercepted at 2.0, tied for 35th in scoring offense at 35.0 points per game and 49th in kickoff returns with an average of 21.76 yards per return.

The Greyhounds will return to action on Saturday, September 29th in a Centennial Conference game versus Dickinson College.  Kickoff is slated for 1:00 p.m. at Rocco Calvo Field in Bethlehem.
